How to charge the tablet

Despite the fact that at the moment the most diverse gadgets are available for everyone, not everyone knows how to charge them correctly. Recommendations on the Internet, advice from friends and relatives do not always have much in common with reality. Due to incorrect recommendations, the batteries of these devices quickly become unusable. In order for this not to happen, you need to clearly understand the picture of how the battery is charged and how to properly maintain the charge level in your phone, tablet, laptop.

How to charge the tablet

Not so long ago, on all electronic devices that could operate autonomously, nickel-cadmium energy sources were used. That's it for them was necessary to completely discharge to zero, followed by charging to 100%.

When they were replaced by lithium-ion batteries, the need for this absolutely disappeared.

Important! All the tips that modern gadgets equipped with lithium-ion batteries need to be completely discharged and fully charged are completely untrue. In addition, it is this method of maintaining battery power that contributes to its rapid failure.

For all modern gadgets you need to maintain an average charge level.

The whole secret is that each charger, that is, each battery is designed for a certain number of cycles, the so-called charge-discharges. If the battery is completely discharged, and then charged 100%, this is considered as the production of one cycle. And it undoubtedly reduces its service life.

Important! It is necessary to maintain the charge level in the range from 40 to 80%.

For example, especially attentive customers noticed that after buying the next new gadget, its charge level is at around 40%. Manufacturers themselves recommend this particular number, as optimal for long-term storage of a non-working device.

When using the phone it is worth paying attention to the level of charge. As soon as it begins to approach the mark of 40%, it is desirable to recharge it. Of course, not everyone can plug in the device at any time. But for such cases it is still better to always have a cable with an accessible USB connector on hand. In this case, the phone can simply be connected to a computer or laptop.

Full battery discharge is also harmful, as is charging up to 100%. You should avoid this by turning it off at the moment when the icon has not yet reached the upper limit parameter.

Also, lithium-ion batteries are very sensitive to sudden temperature changes. So in the cold, the battery discharges faster. Whereas in the heat its capacity, on the contrary, increases. In this regard, there is another recommendation. Categorically it is not necessary to charge up to 100% in hot weather. This is because the full charge at an elevated temperature creates the effect of recharging the device. And this, in the most negative way, will affect the service life, reducing the number of charge-discharge cycles.

Is it harmful for a long time to charge, not fully charged?

When operating a phone, tablet or laptop, it is worth remembering a few basic rules that will help extend battery life:

  • Do not discharge completely.
  • Do not charge fully.
  • In no case do not leave in the process of charging at night. In the worst case, use "smart sockets" that can turn off the device when the capacity reaches the maximum parameter.
  • If there is a need, for example, on a long journey, to charge to the maximum, then try not to bring the figure to 100% at least in hot weather.
