What is filling the bags of the chair

Who became the first inventor of the binbag is silent. But the fact that this person is worthy of respect is undeniable. After all, frameless furniture, which is a chair bag, is much more practical and convenient than conventional sofas, ottomans and armchairs on a rigid basis.

Fillers for bean bags

For some, a bin bag is a useful and comfortable storage for old (and not only) clothes. Someone fills them with natural materials. And furniture manufacturers offer lightweight and durable Klesla bags filled with polystyrene foam. But no matter what the internal volume is filled in, the whole variety of bean bags has one thing in common - the cover. Even two.

Materials for armchairs

The first plays the role of a frame: holds the contents and, if provided for when sewing it, the shape of the chair. It is made of soft, plain, sliding fabric, which does not interfere with the movement of the filler in the bag.

Combined materials are often used, such as polyester and cotton. Thanks to this combination, the inner cover is durable and does not prevent the filler from breathing.

The second cover is external, decorative. For its manufacture, the same upholstery fabric is used as for the usual frame furniture. The color and texture of the fabric are selected "for the interior", since there is only one requirement for it - wear resistance.

If you plan to use a chair on the street, then an outer cover of water-repellent materials is desirable.

Fillers

Polystyrene foam is considered the best filler. Its peas keep their shape well, are moisture resistant and non-combustible. Only polypropylene can compete with this material. It is more durable, has no smell, but it burns.

For added comfort, foam balls can be combined with emollients such as crumb foam or holofiber. If there is a choice, it is better to stop on the second option - this material, although more expensive, is safer and more durable.

Completes the rating of synthetic fillers polyurethane foam. The development of NASA has taken root in the furniture industry due to hypoallergenicity, safety and durability. But the irregular shape of the pieces of foam is not to everyone's taste, therefore it is well suited only for bags made of materials that hold shape well (leather, leatherette).

If there is a desire to abandon synthetics, then you can use natural fillers:

  • feather and fluff;
  • sawdust and shavings;
  • buckwheat husk;
  • dried grains (beans, corn, rice);
  • sand and pebbles.

But the gifts of nature have a number of disadvantages. The first is weight limiting the mobility of the chair. The second is hygroscopicity, which causes mold, fungi and a "fragrant" aroma. And also rodents. They are not afraid of sand with stones, but they love an abundance of food or cozy houses in sawdust, so you won’t be able to use a bin bag made from natural materials on the street.
