Necessary tools and materials for making a folding stool

For any work, the preparatory phase is very important. It includes preparing the workplace, equipping it with the right tool, and acquiring the necessary materials.

The required tools can be found in the household of any adult man. You will need:

1. Wood hacksaw.
2. Hacksaw for metal.
3. Drill.
4. Set of screwdrivers.
5. Chisel.
6. Marking tool: pencil or crayon, tape measure, square.
7. Sandpaper.

REFERENCE! Material for making a chair can be purchased at a building materials store or searched at home supplies. Often, for this, you can use parts of broken or old furniture that you no longer use. The pieces of bars and boards remaining after the repair are also suitable. The full list of necessary things will depend on the model of your product: a classic stool, a chair with a back, a round version.

But the basic set will be as follows:

• wooden blocks for the manufacture of the frame;
• boards, slats or dense fabric for the seat;
• fasteners: bolts, self-tapping screws, washers and nuts;
• wood impregnation or varnish.

When choosing a tree, it is better to give preference to hard varieties: birch, oak, ash and other options. This will ensure a longer product life. • Bar size 40x20 mm.
• Bolts.
• Sandpaper.

From the prepared bar, cut the blanks indicated on the drawing:

• crossbars - 4 pcs.:
• racks for sitting - 6 pcs. (they can be replaced with a thick cloth or tarpaulin);
• Large and small footing bases - 2 pcs.
• Tsarga - 1 pc.

Before assembly, it is necessary to add holes for fastenings on the parts: on the crossbars 20 mm from the edge, on the legs 30 mm from the middle in the upward direction. Process the workpieces with sandpaper, cover with impregnation or varnish and allow to dry.

Now you can begin to assemble the finished product. To do this, follow this procedure:

1. Fasten the legs with bolts, connecting them crosswise. In this case, be sure to put washers.
2. Attach the crossbar legs to the top.
3. Replace the inner king.
4. Screw on small and large foot supports.
5. Secure the seat rails in place.

A comfortable folding chair is ready.

Folding chair with backrest

This model is the easiest to manufacture, but it is not the only one and is not too adapted for a long comfortable sitting. For example, in order to prevent the back from flowing when fishing, it is better to build a chair with a back. You can lean on it comfortably and avoid excessive stress.

This model is made in the same way as the classic folding stool. The only difference is that the rear legs should be longer than the front legs at a comfortable back height. In their upper part, several transverse rails or a rectangular section of dense matter are attached to them. Also, a woven fabric of twine or twigs can act as a seat or back. Do-it-yourself round chair

A more beautiful variation of a folding stool is a round chair.

It consists of fewer parts, with a convenient carrying handle and an integral part designed for seating. For use as furniture in a small housing area, this type of product is most appropriate.
